Ian Farrand has joined CMYUK as its new northern regional sales manager for the company’s Materials division, a move that complements a number of other promotions and appointments.

Mr Farrand joins CMYUK from Drytac Europe, where he was northern sales manager. He is regarded as a highly experienced print professional with 25 years of experience. Based in West Yorkshire, he has many well-established and long-standing relationships with digital wide-format PSPs in Scotland and the North of England.

‘I am very pleased to be joining the CMYUK team for many reasons,’ said Mr Farrand. ‘The amount of traffic that it generates through marketing, the expansion that it has undergone in the last five years, the number of seasoned and well-respected industry staff that work there, and the fact that it has continued to grow and innovate throughout the pandemic says something about this business.

‘I’m looking forward to introducing CMYUK’s impressive range of eco materials to the many customers I know, and the new ones that will come onboard.’

Mr Farrand’s position has been created as a direct result of a restructure within the company’s consumables sales division overseen by Damien Clarke, who was promoted to CMYUK sales director, materials last September. The materials sales restructure has also seen CMYUK key accounts manager Paul Warwick given full responsibility for southern regional sales. Suzie Williamson will continue to focus in her role as key account manager for CMYUK’s newly launched range of specialist digital print-ready fabrics for the fashion and interiors markets. Three new internal account executives have also been added to the existing order fulfilment infrastructure, providing additional support to the external team and further enriching the customer experience.

Mr Clarke said, ‘In recent months, we have experienced an upsurge in our newly launched eco materials portfolio, and a great deal of interest in our new digital-ready fabrics for fashion and interiors. Ian’s arrival and the restructure of our materials sales division are key elements that will drive us forward into the next phase of growth.’
