Printful, the global print-on-demand and warehousing giant, has signed a lease on a new fulfilment centre in Wolverhampton. The company predicts that the 90,000sqft facility will create over 50 new jobs during the first year of operations.

The Wolverhampton site will join eight others that Printful runs around the world, four in mainland Europe and four in the Americas. Across its sites the company, which earlier this year confirmed the purchase of more than 50 Kornit Atlas systems, employs more than 1800 staff.

‘We chose the UK as our next location because it’s the largest e-commerce market in Europe,’ explained CEO and co-founder Davis Siksnans. ‘Printful has a loyal and growing base of customers in the UK who have anticipated our UK expansion for a while and we’re thrilled to finally do it. Additionally, it will allow us to significantly shorten shipping times within the UK, making it easy to reach many new customers.’

Printful plans to invest an initial £2.6 million ($3 million) in the new fulfilment centre and will immediate provide services including direct-to-garment printing and embroidery for home and living items, with longer term plans to add other fulfilment options.

The new fulfilment centre is set to be operational by the end of 2021.
