Kent-based Offset Print and Packaging has taken delivery of a Mercedes Benz eVito electric van after winning Antalis’ Future Focus campaign.

The Future Focus initiative is designed to reward Antalis customers whilst at the same time supporting their businesses and environmental aims and highlighting the benefits of working together.

As a result of the initiative more than 5000 trees have been planted in the UK and over £15,000 has been donated to various charities. On top of this, 226 boxes of recycled paper have been delivered to customers and over 72 tonnes of paper carbon balanced via Antalis’ partnership with the World Land Trust.

‘We’re delighted to have won this van, it’s a great asset to our business,’ said managing director Vince Brearey. ‘Sustainability is really important to us and having this electric van is a crucial next step in our push to be as green as possible. While we distribute to customers further afield via third party logistics, this van will enable us to carry out our more local deliveries with minimum environmental impact.

‘We’ve been working hard to reduce our environmental footprint and recycle as much as we can, including ink, varnish and plastic waste – we send zero waste to landfill; and we’re also using our cardboard engineering ability to remove as much plastic as we can from the packaging we design and produce. Antalis’ Future Focus initiative was a great boost for businesses like ours and it’s really encouraging to see what they have been able to achieve through it.’
