Polyprint has launched DTF Xpress, a direct-to-film printing solution compatible with its TexJet range of direct-to-garment (DtG) printers.

The Greek company says that thanks ot this, TexJet users no longer need to choose between printing to transfer film or to the garment and can now take advantage of both processes. Film transfers printed with the DtG units maybe used on dark or light polyester, nylon and multiple other fabrics ‘quickly and productively.’

It added that customers will now be able to add applications such as customised sportswear, hats and professional clothing to their product portfolio without changing printers or ink set-ups.

‘This new printing process gives the opportunity to DtG users to easily and cost-effectively print direct to film and transfer their designs on[to] multiple textiles,’ explained technical support engineer Dimitris Stavrakidis. ‘They can create personalised T-shirts, bags, pet clothing and even place small logos in specific places productively, using their current TexJet DtG printer.

‘The DTF Xpress solution we provide helps our existing customers grow without the need to invest in new equipment. DTF is a fairly simple process that can easily be adopted by existing TexJet DtG users. It, essentially, complements DtG printing by producing fantastic prints on numerous textiles, without the need to pre-treat.’
