William Smith has reached a new agreement with Reklamide by which it will once again become the exclusive UK distributor of the Swedish company’s Rollsroller flatbed applicator.

The Rollsroller range, introduced to the British market by William Smith in 2005, aids in the application of self-adhesive materials, application tapes and digital prints to a wide range of commonly used rigid, semi-rigid and flexible substrates. Typically, these include acrylic and plastics and their derivatives, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, glass, foamed and corrugated board, laminates and banner-grade materials.

The new agreement will see William Smith distribute the four main models in the Rollsroller range: Entry, Regular, Premium and Traffic. The Entry model is described as ideal for small or start-up companies where available workspace might be at a premium and production levels smaller, while Regular represents the standard model in the range. Premium, the most popular model, is designed for industrial-grade high-volume production requirements. Lastly, Traffic has been developed specifically for the manufacture of road traffic signs. It incorporates a specially profiled processing bed to accommodate any standard extruded sign panel.

The machines, each of which boasts a solid steel frame and an aluminium processing bed, allow for applications to be applied by a single machine operator and at speeds up to 80% faster than possible when applied manually. They can also be supplemented with a raft of optional enhancements, including additional side trays to accommodate extra-large banners and outdoor advertising hoardings and an anti-static system to neutralise static electricity.
