InkTec’s opaque self-adhesive fabric, TEX-RA FR, has received the EN 13501 – 1 fire rating certification.

The non-reflective polyester fabric has been designed to be easy to apply and not to damage the host surface or leave any residue when removed. It also comes with an opaque block out feature, intended to make installation easier and allow for overlapping seams. InkTec describes TEX-RA FR as ideal for a variety of applications including wall coverings, events, exhibition stands, interior design projects, advertising and promotions.

The material has been assigned the European standard C-s2, d0 fire rating in accordance with the testing procedures given in EN 13501-1: 2018 and EN 15102: 2007+A1: 2011. This is equivalent to the German safety standard DIN 4102 classification B1.

‘Due to the increasing demand for fire certified wall and surface coverings we are delighted to introduce the new fire rated version of our already popular TEX-RA self-adhesive fabric,’ said Peter Davidson, head of IP consumables at InkTec Europe. ‘Particularly a product that has this advanced adhesive technology which means it can be used for short and long term graphics and requires limited installation skill, infinite repositionable possibilities and leaves no residue when removed.’

The fabric is available in widths of either 1372mm or 1524mm and is supplied in 30m rolls. It is compatible with Solvent, Eco Solvent, Latex and UV inks and InkTec claims it is both tear resistant and wrinkle free.
