InkTec Europe has launched a brand new equivalent UV ink, boasting an improved high density white, which it describes as perfect for Mimaki UCJV300-160 wide-format printers.

The UCJV300-160 roll-to-roll inkjet printer, which combines both printing and cutting, uses Mimaki LUS-170 inks. InkTex says that its new inks matches all of LUS-170’s attributes including wide colour gamut, light fastness and excellent UV resistance. It is the intensity of the white however, that the company says really raises the inks to a new level, resulting in less yellowing than the original inks.

The new inks require no colour profile changes, making potential switch overs simpler, and are then able to use immediately. InkTec adds that the inks deliver all of the bright, vibrant and excellent media adhesion that the existing ink does, combined with superior printing stability and UV resistance.

Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications, the ink is currently available in 1 litre bottles. InkTex adds that it is also extremely competitive on price.

‘This range of inks builds on the expansion of InkTec Europe’s portfolio of large format inks and media being introduced this year,’ said Peter Davidson, head of IP consumable sales at InkTec Europe. ‘With everything going on we recognise that now is the time that many in our industry will be looking at how they can reduce costs and maximise sales. It is not easy out there! So if we can bring an equivalent ink which strikes the balance between affordability and functionality with added bonus features such as the brighter white, then that is what we are going to do.’
