GMG’s Academy has declared June its digital printing month and will be providing weekly insights into digital printing topics throughout.

‘For several years digital printing has grown in importance for printing not just magazines, flyers or promotional items, but also packaging printing,’ a company statement read. ‘Many customers face open questions, uncertainties and challenges when it comes to reliable colour control, standardisation and customer expectations. GMG will answer these open questions in its special webinar series – GMG Academy On:Digital.’

Starting on 9 June Tim Hansinger and Joerg Ruehle from GMG’s Service and Consulting Department will share all the important aspects of Fogra ProcessStandard Digital (PSD) with Dr. Andreas Kraushaar from Fogra joining as a guest speaker.

In the second instalment, taking place on 18 June, the hosts ‘will take a closer look at the visual evaluation of digital prints and learn more about media-relative evaluation of prints.’

The concluding part of the PSD series, on 25 June, will be dedicated to process control in digital printing. Particular focuses will include how print systems can be controlled and how measurable and comparable results can be achieved.

Then, on 30 June, the final webinar in the series will ask whether multicolour is changing the whole industry and explore ‘the three secrets for digital print success in packaging.’
