CMYUK has announced the launch of UFabrik Wallcover Canvas Eco, a version of the existing UFabrik Wallcover Canvas manufactured from recycled plastic bottles.

The Reading-based company considers the product ‘ground-breaking for the display and graphics market’ thanks to its ecological credentials.

A premium woven canvas, the material forms part of CMYUK’s growing  portfolio of environmentally responsible products. It is compatible with latex, solvent or UV inks and available in various roll widths up to 3100mm.

It provides the safety and security of a B1 flame retardancy rating, making it suitable for use in public areas, and is intended to be suitable for art reproductions, single piece wallcoverings, display graphics and tension frame systems.

‘This is an excellent material which not only delivers quality results, but which actually has an environmental integrity to it,’ said Joel Willcock, key accounts and textile business development specialist. ‘The time for delivery of eco-compatible materials is now. This product delivers on a number of different fronts.’

‘Already through word of mouth, we are seeing a great deal of interest in this material,’ added Michael Crook, commercial business director. ‘The fact that it comes in a variety of different widths just adds to its versatility and usability.’
