An HP Latex R2000 hybrid printer has been installed at cutting specialist Zünd UK’s St Albans showroom, allowing a range of print and cut options to be demonstrated there.

Zünd says its digital cutting tables have a modular construction that enables users to effectively design the machine configuration to meet their particular needs, while the hybrid capability of the HP printer offers a wide degree of material versatility.

Dean Ashworth, Zünd’s UK sales and marketing manager,  commented, ‘As a hybrid roll-fed and flatbed printer, the HP Latex R2000 is very flexible for different workflows and a diversity of media. Its role in the Zünd UK demonstration centre means visitors can see the full sequence from raw material to printing to finishing, for a number of different scenarios.’

Launched at Fespa 2018, the HP Latex R2000 supports printing of both flexible and rigid media, accommodating materials up to 2.5m wide and up to 5cm thick. It prints at between 45 and 100sqm/hr, depending on media type and quality settings and suits applications such as retail, outdoor signage, window graphics, events and exhibitions, decoration and vehicle wrapping.

In addition to forming part of a comprehensive demonstration workflow, the R2000 also enables Zünd UK to bring printing work in-house; its first job was printing the exhibition boards for Zünd’s stand for The Print Show last month.
