The Magic Touch has unveiled an image transfer process designed to decorate and personalise vacuum bottles.

With the use of single-use plastic bottles now being consistently discouraged, the Dunstable-based company believes there is an opportunity to be seized personalising longer-lasting alternatives.

Using white toner technology, together with the company’s CPM transfer paper, full colour designs can be applied using a conventional mug press. The process, unlike sublimation, is able to print white and therefore full colour imaging is possible on any colour of bottle.

Vacuum bottles can now be decorated individually, making them considerably easier to sell and market to target customers. The average cost for the full colour decoration is less than 25p per bottle and takes less than two minutes to produce.

‘These products make real sense and will be part of our lives for many, many years to come,’ said managing director Jim Nicol. ‘Until now the choice of technology available to decorate different colour mugs and drinks bottles has been restricted either to traditional screen/pad printing or more recently using UV printers, however, what we offer is an affordable, quick and very durable solution assisting customers to increase the range of products possible.’
