Kernow Coatings has unveiled KlearView, a family of PVC-free printable window graphic materials.

Klearview is available in three different options: KlearView 142 is a 142 micron  substrate printable with eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks, KlearView 125KBC is UV-printable only with thickness of 125 microns and KlearView 175KBC, is also UV-printable only but thicker at 175 microns.

The Cornish company aimed to make the application as easy and user-friendly as possible, it therefore avoided self-adhesive substrates and all three films offered are 100% PVC-free. Smaller designs can be printed on 125 microns while bigger pieces and hanging displays should be preferably printed on the thicker gauges.

Recent developments in printers offering white inks have also allowed Kernow to offer a new array of options. Originally, clear substrates were reserved for screen printing only and few UV printers supported white ink. Nowadays, most printer manufacturers provide this option with in solvent, UV-cured or even latex inks.

KlearView can also be applied using clear mounting pads, suitable when professional application cannot be made to avoid air bubbles. As the products are polyester they will not start curling, distort or shrink.
