Woking-based print and communications company, Optichrome, has purchased the Sitma SM15 envelope enclosing machine to boost its transactional and direct mail capacity after experiencing a rise in demand for mailings.

The company needed a more efficient envelope closing machine and so purchased a Sitma SM15 machine, through Sitma’s sole UK and Irish supplier, Integra (part of Englemann and Buckham). The Sitma SM15 meets the most demanding production requirements from C4, C6 and even pocket or catalogue envelopes up to 15,000 envelope an hour.

Rob Unwin, director at Optichrome, said, ‘Due to an increased demand for mailing, it will allow us to grow our mailing capacity. Most importantly it will give our clients the peace of mind that every mailing will be produced faster and more efficiently. The SM15 will insert faster, with less downtime and provide a full, closed loop, reporting system which is vital for the types of clients we mail on behalf of.’
