Duplo has announced the venue for its 7th London Calling event, which will take place on 3 and 4 November this year.

Sunbeam Studios in North Kensington is now one of the foremost photographic studios and event spaces in London, but it was previously the UK’s first purpose-built car factory and showroom, housed in the Grade II listed Ladbroke Hall (pictured). It was here that the world’s first 100 mph car was built by Talbot before the First World War.

For Duplo it will be the setting to deliver, with as yet unnamed partners, an event that focuses on showing how to create added value and increased revenue through intelligent technology and integrated solutions. Ideas for the event have been shaped by the input of eight customers, who took part in a forum in May. While the names of partners have not yet been revealed, Duplo did confirm that another meeting of its Duplo Owners Club user group would take place at London Calling. It is aiming to hold four Owners Club forums per year.

There are no plans to grow the London Calling event, although future iterations may seek to attract more visitors from the agency world. In general though, Duplo said it was happy with the number of partners, number of visitors (300-400) and the calibre of those visitors. ‘It’s a very targeted event and we think we are getting the right people through the door,’ said managing director Peter Jolly.
