New output filters for label and matrix printing has been released by Compart expanding its DocBridge family which all support output on Zebra and Datamax devices.
With the new filters, the company creates a technological bridge between existing document and output management structures (legacy) and the growing digitalisation in production for the value chain (Industry 4.0).
Harald Grumser, founder and chief executive officer, said, ‘We are facing the dawn of a new age, which I believe will impact our lives even more than the invention of the printing press 500 years ago. The real and the virtual worlds are converging; factories and machines are electronically networked, as are customers, suppliers and manufacturers. This will undoubtedly affect document processing.’
Mr Grumser maintains that manufacturing companies need to prepare documents and data streams of different types and formats as efficiently as possible for output on all physical and electronic channels, while leveraging their legacy structures.
