Comedian Bill Bailey played a surprise performance on a wrapped piano at St Pancras International

A Roland piano played by Bill Bailey in St Pancras station was decorated using print produced on sister firm Roland DG’s equipment.

Bristol-based wrap specialist Think Image, produced the wrap on its Roland DG Soljet Pro 4 XR-640 print and cut machine for the pop-up performance to promote Roland UK’s new LX-7 digital piano.

‘We wanted messaging that would accurately reflect our brand colours, and most importantly stay pristine and vibrant for the duration of our LX-7 piano’s stay at St Pancras,’ said Natalie Lewis, marketing manager at Roland UK.

‘Colour matching and print-and-cut on our Roland kit is very simple,’ commented Tony Lane of Think Image.

Bill Bailey also picked the winning entry from the general public who submitted videos of themselves playing the piano. Davide Stramaglia won an LX-7 for his rendition of the theme from the TV series ‘Game of Thrones’. See his performance here: www.roland.co.uk/stpancraspiano
