60% of printers have highlighted investing in Workflow Automation

As a member of Cip4, Imprint-MIS has been invited to host the bi-annual Interop conference for members at Clare College Cambridge.

The International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press, and Postpress Organisation or ‘CIP4’ is a not-for-profit standards association, whose mission is to foster the adoption of process automation in the printing industry. Membership is open to any company involved in the graphic arts. Currently, CIP4 consists of over 1,600 individuals from approximately 300 members and 31 countries.

Next month members will gather in Cambridge for the Interop event, where technical tutorials will be provided for new members and working groups will meet and discuss topics that are best discussed in person. Interop will also provide an opportunity for members to test systems in development with other members in a private yet informative environment.

At previous Interop meeting Imprint’s developers have been able to test systems with major manufacturers in the prepress, offset, digital and finishing sectors and have found the conferences to be beneficial as the driving force behind JDF integration.

The conference takes place 27-31 March 2017 at St Clare College Cambridge.
