At Dscoop Phoenix, HP announced the 500th installation of its B2-sized Series 4 Indigo digital press since the platform’s unveiling at drupa 2012, and handed out the HP Inkspiration Awards for the Americas.

Minneapolis, USA-based GLS/NEXT Precision Marketing was an early adopter of the HP Indigo 10000, and its latest addition – a third Series 4: an HP Indigo 12000, will enable the company to create tailored solutions for its clients and to boost growth.

‘The B2 sheet size and high quality output have been a real game changer, and we expect our new HP Indigo 12000 to enable our company to raise the bar even higher,’ said Jayme Wisely, GLS/NEXT Precision marketing president and CEO.

Installed in 46 countries, the Series 4 press platform includes the HP Indigo 10000 and 12000 for commercial printing, HP Indigo 20000 for labels and flexible packaging, and HP Indigo 30000 for folding cartons and plastics, as well as the duplex, 30-inch/B1 roll-fed HP Indigo 50000, which recently completed its first customer installation at Digital Lizard, Las Vegas.

Also at the event, HP and Dscoop revealed the winners of the second annual HP Inkspiration Awards for the Americas and the Rod Key Marketing Excellent Award recipient. Seventeen awards were presented to 15 HP customers in multiple categories across general commercial printing, labels and packaging and page-wide printing segments for unique applications produced on HP Indigo, PageWide Web Press, and Scitexequipment. There were 148 entries from more than 57 HP customers in the Americas.
