The 5m Durst Rho 512R UV printer

Responding to increased demand for lightbox graphics for the retail POS market, ImageData Group has taken delivery of a super-wide format 5m Durst Rho 512R roll-fed UV inkjet printer.

The Yorkshire and East Sussex-based print and communications company is a long-standing Durst customer.

‘This new machine will perfectly complement our portfolio of large-format digital printing equipment,’ said Paul Price, imageData Group’s managing director for the retail sector. ‘The machine’s ability to create single-piece graphics as big as 20 x 5m without a join means that truly exceptional quality indoor graphics suitable for close viewing can be produced effortlessly,’ he explained.

The Rho 512R can print onto a range of substrates including paper, banners, vinyl, fabrics and canvas using VOC-free Rho Roll ink ‘which remains flexible and does not crack when applied to fabrics or textiles, even when they are folded or rolled,’ noted Mr Price.

‘The new Durst represents an investment of around £500,000,’ he revealed. ‘We can deliver the highest quality graphics printed on a wider range of substrates, faster than ever before.’
