Mimaki’s CF22-1225 cutting table can handle materials as large as 1220 x 2440mm

The new CF22-1225 flatbed cutting plotter from Mimaki is intended to complement the company’s JFX200-2513 flatbed printer and, together with ArtiosCAD Designer Solution software, offer a complete print-and-cut workflow.

Operated in combination, the three components are designed to deliver more profitable short-run, print-and-cut jobs.

‘Combined with the JFX200-2513 flatbed UV inkjet printer and ArtiosCAD, this offering is an ideal end-to-end solution for cutting and creasing coated cardboard, as well as reciprocating cutting of foam material used for packing,’ said Ronald Van den Broek, general sales manager at Mimaki Europe.

‘Whether organisations are developing sophisticated short-run signs and display graphics, creating packaging mock-ups or samples, handling special requests for small lot furniture, or simply creating and producing designs on demand, this solution will not disappoint,’ he added.

Mimaki’s RasterLink6 plus software includes an ID Cut function – adding a barcode to the print which, when read by the crop mark sensor on the CF22-1225, contains cutting and rotation information allowing the automation of the cutting process. When running nested print-cut jobs, the cutter can continuously reads the data for both single and combined jobs. The software also includes the FineCut plug-in for Adobe Illustrator, to enable a print preview to minimise errors prior to the print-and-cut operation.

In addition, a wide variety of selectable cutting tools allows cutting of industrial materials such as acrylic, foam and rubber with a thickness of up to 55mm.

The Mimaki CF22-1225 is expected to be available at the end of 2017.
