Inprint purchased a Komfi Amiga 52 laminator from the Friedheim stand at IPEX 2017

Describing IPEX 2017 as a “show of deals”, Friedheim International made a number of sales and signings from its stand at Birmingham’s NEC.

The company’s machine demonstrators both international and UK-based were kept busy running the workflow on the huge stand throughout 31 October to 3 November.

The first day saw the show-launched MBO K80 combination folder being sold to Anglo Print in Ireland and Harcourt Print signed a deal for an MBO B26 buckle folder.

A Komfi Sagitta laminator was bought by Swiss printer Spot-Tech Median, and PrintCraft purchased a Zechini Roby Junior semi-automatic casemaker and a Mephisto (a Roby Junior 2 without the board feeder), MPS Belfast chose a Baumann pile turner. Friedheim also saw signings from Inprint for a Komfi Amiga 52 laminator with OTF and another from stock went to Words & Graphics in Leicester. These machines are all going directly to the customers’ factories from the show.

With quotes flying between head office and the stand, Friedheim declared IPEX a tremendous success and a “show of deals”. ‘We’ve been very pleased with the level of interest in all the equipment throughout the show,’ said Mark Bristow, managing director. ‘Although 2017 is a smaller show, IPEX has proved once again that it has the ability to attract the crowds and the right decision-making customers that makes attendance so attractive.’

The feedback Friedheim received from customers was that the smaller scale show gave them a chance to have in-depth conversations with the sales specialists and demonstrators on the stand, and a chance to get their teeth into the solutions and the advances in technology on display.

Mr Bristow went on to state: ‘On a personal level, we at Friedheim would like to thank the entire IPEX team for running a smooth and lively show, but also our fellow exhibitors from the UK Print industry.  It was great seeing the commitment and the heart on display from the likes of Apex, Duplo, IFS, Morgana and Watkiss. I think we all pulled together before and throughout the show and gave a great accounting of ourselves throughout. With the numbers of orders and prospects coming out of IPEX, we hope that you all did as well out of the show as we did.’
