All there in black and white – new mono range offers enhanced productivity

Konica Minolta has introduced a new series of monochrome printers, the AccurioPress 6136, which offers up to 136 A4 pages per minute or 78ppm A3.

Replacing the Bizhub Press 1250e series, the new range comprises three models: the AccurioPress 6136, 6136P and 6120, which offer monthly peak print volumes up to 3.24 million A4 pages and the ability to handle a wide range of substrates including coated and embossed paper from 40 to 350gsm via an “intelligent paper catalogue”.

Automatic continuous density and registration adjustment are achieved through IQ-501 unit which also provides colour control in the colour-capable Accurio models, and which can also create printer profiles for specific media without requiring specialist skills.

Ines Wennemann, production printing manager, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, said: ‘With the highest productivity in its class, this takes monochrome production printing to the next level. Konica Minolta has been a pioneer and set new standards in the industry for over 10 years. This next generation series of monochrome products will help our customers to be well prepared for today’s and upcoming demands in the printing industry.’

Finishing options for the new series include over 700 possibilities for configuration, including envelope fusing and a range of KM’s own solutions plus offerings from Watkiss, GBC and Plockmatic. Electronic integration with third-party software is achieved via Konica Minolta OpenAPI.
