The Ricoh Pro C7200X supports a range of fifth colour options

Ricoh has introduced the Pro C7200X series of cut-sheet toner presses to address graphic arts and enterprise print applications.

Successor to the Pro 7100X platform, the new machines come in a five-colour configuration, the Pro C7200X, for graphic arts use, and the four-colour Pro C7200 for inplant and enterprise production. Both models benefit from improved colour stability through auto-calibration with inline sensors and improved registration with auto adjustment.

The five-colour C7200X can support white, clear, neon pink or yellow, or a new invisible red toner for security print applications. High image quality is claimed for both models thanks to 2400 x 4800dpi print resolutions and media up to 360gms can be printed at rated speeds of 85 or 95ppm.

Long sheet production is supported, with simplex up to 1260mm and auto duplexing to 700mm. Inline finishing options include the GBC eWire Binder, BDT Banner Sheet LCT and a Polckmatic banner sheet stacker. There’s a choice of DFEs with EFI Fiery and GWNX and TotalFlow Print Server from Ricoh which is said to offer excellent integration with various workflows. All models will be available from this month.

‘The new Ricoh Pro C7200X series is an extraordinary package of capabilities,’ said Eef De Ridder, director, commercial printing of the Commercial & Industrial Printing Group, Ricoh Europe. ‘The systems address today’s market demands for greater complexity, faster turnaround times and varied run lengths. The enhancements improve quality, productivity and usability to ensure striking and engaging results can be achieved simply and smoothly.’
