Leeds-based Zebra Print Group is sponsoring a Yorkshire martial arts team as seven competitors prepare to take part in the 2026 World Championships in Cádiz, Spain.

The family-run print business has pledged its support to Team ACMAC, helping towards the costs associated with competing internationally. The team is entirely self-funded and relies on fundraising and backing from local businesses to enable its members to compete.

Team ACMAC earned its place in this year’s championships after securing 27 awards at last year’s World Championships in Niagara, USA, including nine gold, six silver and 12 bronze medals.

Eight of the team’s 13 competitors secured world titles, with medals won across point fighting, kickboxing, kata and team fighting. Joe Wallace took two gold medals and a silver, while Millie Jo Guest, Tobi Atkin, Ant Reed and Brandon Hunter were also among those taking gold for the first time.

The seven competitors travelling to Spain this year are Hayden Lindley, Hayley Lindley, Brandon Lindley, Tobi Atkin, Ant Reed, Lucy Crittenden and Darcy Criddle.

Samantha Overton, managing director of Zebra Print Group, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be supporting Team ACMAC as they prepare to compete at the World Championships in Spain.

“What the team achieved last year was phenomenal, and it’s fantastic to see competitors from our region performing at such a high level on an international stage.

“We know that competing at this level comes with a significant financial commitment, particularly in a self-funded sport, so we’re really pleased to be able to play a small part in helping the team get to Spain. We’ll be following their progress closely and wish every member of the team the very best of luck.”

Zebra Print Group’s branding will feature on the team’s clothing and flag, which accompanies competitors to the podium, as well as across ACMAC’s social media channels and nine martial arts schools, which have more than 800 active members.

Andy Crittenden, team manager and head coach at ACMAC, said: “Support from businesses like Zebra Print Group makes such a difference to our competitors and their families. Last year’s sponsorship helped take a huge financial burden off the team and allowed our members to focus on what they do best – competing and representing their clubs at the highest level.

“We’re extremely grateful to Samantha and the Zebra Print Group team for getting behind us this year. We’re heading to Spain with a fantastic group of competitors and we’ll be doing everything we can to bring more world championship medals back to Yorkshire.”
