Quality Print Services (QPS) has expanded its ColorJet offering in the UK with the addition of the Vulcan Hybrid 1800, a UV hybrid printer designed for both flexible and rigid applications.

The new system, available now, is capable of printing on media up to 1.8m wide and is aimed at print service providers seeking a compact, versatile solution. It can achieve speeds of up to 45sqm/hr in a high production, three-row CMYK mode.

The Vulcan Hybrid 1800 is built around a conveyor belt system to support stable handling of a range of substrates, including lightweight rigid boards up to 20mm thick. According to QPS, this enables users to work across a wider range of applications and explore new revenue opportunities.

Additional features include an ink level sensor designed to alert operators when ink is running low, as well as on-board anti-crash and anti-static systems to support reliability during production. The printer uses UV inks that are Greenguard Gold Certified, meaning they meet low-VOC emission standards suitable for indoor environments such as offices, schools, and healthcare settings.

QPS is the official UK distributor for ColorJet’s UV flatbed and soft signage printers, and the Vulcan Hybrid 1800 is the latest addition to its portfolio.

“We’re delighted to introduce another first-class ColorJet printer to our existing portfolio,” said Chris Bailey, managing director of QPS. “It’s the perfect solution for print service providers seeking a compact UV hybrid printer that combines maximum flexibility with speed and high-quality output. With the addition of the Vulcan Hybrid 1800, we now offer one of the widest ranges of UV printers in the UK.”
