Women in Print Alliance is marking Women’s History Month with a series of initiatives aimed at recognising the contribution of women in the printing industry and encouraging greater participation and collaboration across the sector.
Part of PRINTING United Alliance, the organisation said the programme will extend beyond March, with a range of content, events, and member-focused activities designed to support women at different stages of their careers.
Throughout the month, Women in Print Alliance will highlight the work of women across the industry through its own channels, as well as those of PRINTING United Alliance and its associated media brands. This includes the release of 22 episodes of the Her Imprint podcast, which focuses on the experiences and perspectives of women working in print.
“Women in print are doing more than preserving history and tradition in print – they’re reimagining it,” says Lisbeth Lyons Black, director, Women in Print Alliance. “Across our industry, women are leading the charge to create an industry that is sustainable and resilient. Whether their roles are environmental, educational, or economic, they’re celebrating the past while also laying the groundwork for a thriving, viable – and, yes, more inclusive – industry, and building a better tomorrow for print.”
The organisation also highlighted the benefits of joining the Women in Print Alliance community, with membership options available for individuals and companies. Members can access professional development resources and networking opportunities through both virtual and in-person activities.
These include members-only webinars, Quarterly Connect virtual workshops, book discussions, recognition opportunities at industry events, and member meetups. The alliance also offers member spotlight features and other initiatives designed to highlight the achievements of women working in print. Student membership is available free of charge.
Looking ahead, Women in Print Alliance plans to expand its programme of community activities in 2026, including regional meetups, a dedicated programme ahead of the Alliance’s Fly-In event in Washington, D.C., and new community forums.
The group will also host its annual Women in Print Luncheon at PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas on 24 September, where facilitator and coach Corrie Lo will deliver a keynote presentation titled “The Five Overwhelm Culprits”.
Women in Print Alliance said the initiatives aim to help strengthen connections across the industry while supporting professional growth and collaboration among women working in print.
