Color-Logic has announced the immediate availability of EVE, a free, web-based embellishment cost estimator for printers. EVE is designed as a companion to the upcoming Visualis3R platform and allows printers to calculate the cost of embellishments by entering their own production costs.
Mark Geeves, director of sales and marketing for Color-Logic, commented: “With EVE, printers can model the substrate plus CMYK inks or toners for an embellishment job, and then add hits with special colours, and stack treatments like foil, emboss, varnish, lamination, and Scodix/Duplo. Then EVE instantly shows how these special embellishment effects change the job, the unit cost, and the value story.”
The company said EVE does not use artificial intelligence, does not suggest pricing, and does not collect or analyse user data. All calculations are based solely on inputs provided by the printer.
EVE includes built-in translation into 133 languages, allowing the interface to adapt dynamically for users worldwide. The tool is intended to support job planning and production by providing clear cost estimates for specialty finishes, an area often considered difficult to quantify in print workflows.
