Kyocera Document Solutions UK Group has promoted Andrew Smith to managing director and general manager, as the business moves into its next phase of growth.
Mr Smith, previously chief information and strategy officer, will lead the group’s operations, including Annodata and MCL, overseeing the continued evolution of its managed services strategy. He brings experience spanning print, IT, and cybersecurity, and has played a central role in developing the company’s managed service offering in recent years. Mr Smith also led the incubation of Kyocera Cyber, from its early development in 2023 through to its launch in 2025, a division he will continue to champion.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Smith said his focus would be on maintaining customer value while scaling Kyocera’s IT and cybersecurity capabilities alongside its core print business.
The leadership changes extend beyond Smith’s appointment. Steve Doust has been named group sales director for direct sales, while Suki Purewal takes on the role of group service and operations director. These appointments follow the return of Pete Lunn as indirect sales lead in November 2025.
Meanwhile, Yuji Doura will continue with Kyocera Document Solutions UK in a newly defined role as business transformation director, supporting Mr Smith while maintaining close links with Kyocera’s headquarters in Japan.
The new leadership structure is intended to strengthen Kyocera’s channel relationships and support growth across print, IT and cybersecurity through 2026 and beyond.
