Diaphragm pump maker KNF has confirmed a planned leadership transition, with Alexander Heizler assuming the role of chief executive officer. He succeeds long-standing CEO Martin Becker, who will move into a full-time position as chairman of the board of directors.

Mr Heizler has been with KNF since 2009 and has served as chief operating officer since 2021. His appointment is positioned as a continuation of the company’s long-term strategy and reflects KNF’s emphasis on stability as a family-owned business.

“I am honored to take on the role of CEO,” said Mr Heizler. “KNF stands for technological excellence, strong values, and a dedicated global team. I look forward to continuing this successful journey.”

Martin Becker steps away from day-to-day operational leadership after more than 40 years with the company, including 26 years as CEO. In his new role as chairman, he will continue to work closely with Mr Heizler while remaining connected to the business as a shareholder.

“Passing on the operational leadership of KNF is a deeply personal step for me,” Mr Becker said. “I am proud of what we have built together and fully trust Alexander Heizler to lead the company with passion and responsibility.”

The transition follows a structured succession plan and is intended to ensure continuity across KNF’s global operations. The company employs more than 900 people worldwide and operates from 24 locations, serving customers across a range of sectors including medical technology, inkjet printing, gas analysis, food, and chemical processing.

KNF specialises in diaphragm pump solutions for gas, liquid, and vacuum applications, with a portfolio spanning OEM, process, and laboratory markets. Its systems are widely used in applications where precision, reliability, and customisation are critical.

Founded in Germany in 1946, the group has expanded steadily while maintaining its family-owned structure. According to the company, innovation, sustainability, and customer-focused development remain central to its strategy as it moves into the next phase of leadership.

The change at the top comes as KNF continues to position itself as a global technology leader in diaphragm pump design and manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on tailored solutions supported by local market expertise.
