Fujifilm has expanded its speciality toner portfolio for the mid-range Revoria SC285S and EC2100S presses with the introduction of gold toner. The new colour is available to order immediately with first deliveries expected in mid-December.

The gold option follows the launch of white and silver toners earlier this year. It brings the total number of speciality colours for these models to six, joining pink, clear, and toner for textured stock, which were available when the devices were introduced in January 2025.

Mark Lawn, head of POD Solutions, Fujifilm EMEA, says the announcement continues the company’s push to make five-colour and speciality printing more accessible. “We said in launching these 5uper Colour devices that our vision was to make speciality toners, and 5-colour printing, accessible to a larger market than ever before. The huge success of the devices in Europe in their first year shows that this vision is being realised, and through continual innovation, we’re excited to help customers keep expanding the possibilities of what they can do.”

Fujifilm says the gold toner offers a wide range of creative uses, enabling users to print metallic embellishments and blend gold with CMYK for new colour effects. According to Mr Lawn, metallics remain an effective way to achieve stand-out in applications such as packaging, retail displays, and business cards. “Metallic effects can really pack a punch,” he says. “And the use of metallic colours on product packaging, retail displays and business cards can be a huge visibility boost. They can also be used to deter counterfeiting, for example on tickets.”

Mr Lawn adds that the latest release reflects Fujifilm’s ongoing investment in speciality colour. “We’re excited to be pioneering a new level of accessibility for speciality colour printing, supporting customers all over Europe to do more than they ever could have imagined in the past. The arrival of gold toner is just the latest step on that journey and we’re proud of the constant innovation that helps us to give our customers the tools to keep improving and to deliver even more.”
