Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has announced that Castell Howell Foods, one of South Wales’ largest food wholesalers, has upgraded its in-house print operations with the installation of the AccurioPress C84hc. The device was supplied and is being supported by Solutions in Technology, Konica Minolta’s exclusive partner in South Wales.
Castell Howell Foods said the investment aims to improve the quality and impact of its printed materials, which are used extensively across its marketing and customer communications.
“In the food wholesale industry, people buy with their eyes, so image quality is everything,” said Shaun Pinney, marketing manager at Castell Howell Foods. “We chose the AccurioPress C84hc press because its vibrant, lifelike print results truly bring our products to life. The clarity and colour accuracy are a real game changer for us, helping us showcase food the way it’s meant to be seen.”
The AccurioPress C84hc uses high-chroma toner technology and offers 3600 x 2400dpi resolution, supported by Konica Minolta’s IQ-501 intelligent automation system for colour consistency and registration accuracy. Its capability to handle grease-proof and other specialist substrates has enabled the company to expand its printed output, including full-bleed menus and promotional materials.
Solutions in Technology, which has worked with Konica Minolta for 23 years, supported the introduction of the new press.
“Castell Howell Foods is a new customer, and we’re delighted to have helped them select the ideal replacement for their old press,” said Jason Bale, sales manager at Solutions in Technology. “The Konica Minolta AccurioPress C84hc delivers the vibrant, high-quality and eye-catching print results needed to showcase its products.”
He added that the company’s regional presence ensures responsive support: “Our locations in Cwmbran, Swansea, and Bristol mean our professional Konica Minolta-trained and accredited team are close by and ready to provide support for their print needs quickly and efficiently.”
Konica Minolta said the installation has resulted in reduced operating costs, increased productivity and the creation of new revenue possibilities, such as enabling customers to print personalised menus.
“The AccurioPress C84hc is built for businesses where vibrant visuals drive customer engagement,” said Cameron Mitchell, head of indirect sales at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK). “It’s ideal for food and hospitality sectors, where print quality really matters. We’re proud to support Jason and the expert team at Solutions in Technology in delivering this powerful press to Castell Howell Foods.”
