Meteor Inkjet has announced a partnership with additive manufacturing specialist Quantica, supplying its drive electronics to power Quantica’s NovoJet printhead. The collaboration brings Meteor’s established precision and reliability to Quantica’s technology, which is designed to jet complex functional materials previously beyond the reach of conventional printheads.

Quantica’s NovoJet system can handle high-viscosity adhesives, advanced coatings, and micron-scale particle inks, enabling new applications in industrial digital manufacturing. The first Quantica system to feature Meteor’s electronics will be the Quantica Print Engine, a production-ready platform scheduled for delivery in 2026.

Meteor’s solutions integrate with commercial 3D build tools and manage printhead and ink supply control functions such as recirculation to prevent sedimentation and nozzle blockage. They also support high data rates and long cable lengths, allowing flexible deployment in robotics or complex production setups.

“Meteor is proud to be working alongside Quantica to help bring their groundbreaking NovoJet printhead technology to market,” said Clive Ayling, Meteor’s managing director. “Additive manufacturing is rapidly evolving, and the ability to jet a wider range of functional materials opens up enormous opportunities for innovation.”

The partnership is described as a major step towards enabling high-viscosity digital manufacturing, expanding the possibilities for industrial-scale production.
