James Cropper has signed an exclusive partnership with global materials supplier Winter & Company to bring its new Coloursource paper brand to market.
The agreement marks a significant step for both family-run businesses, building on a long-standing relationship and aligning two portfolios known for design quality and material innovation, said the company.
Coloursource is a collection of 50 signature shades, available in three weights, developed from James Cropper’s proprietary fibre innovation and colour formulation expertise built up over half a century. The brand is positioned as a premium, UK-made option for packaging, publishing, stationery and branding applications.
Paul Barber, managing director at James Cropper, said: “As a proud British business now entering our 180th year, it’s a privilege for us to unveil this major new supply agreement that brings Coloursource to the market. We know the launch of Coloursource spotlights British heritage and craftsmanship on the world stage, so it was important for us to bring it to market with a partner that aligns so closely with our company values.
He added: “Since we unveiled the Coloursource brand, we have experienced an unprecedented number of enquiries from businesses across the world – businesses that want to source their paper from the home of colour.”
Winter & Company, best known for high-end cover materials and creative paper solutions, will act as the sole supplier of the range. Paul Davinson of Winter & Company commented: “It is a privilege for us to strengthen our long-standing relationship with James Cropper. This partnership is the perfect fit for us – James Cropper’s craftsmanship, its proprietary colour formulations, and its in-house colour lab synergise nicely with our focus on service and quality. I want to thank our partners at James Cropper for trusting us as the exclusive supplier of Coloursource. The future of colour is now.”
Coloursource will be showcased at London Packaging Week following its debut at Luxe Pack Monaco.
