US-based UV print specialist DPI Laboratory has launched a fluorescent security ink compatible with its Catalyst Aventra and Catalyst Nanos printers. It is designed to support a wide range of decorative and security-related applications.

The new ink glows under UV or blacklight, making it suitable for both creative and covert use. DPI says it enables tamper-resistant, high-impact printing for applications including product labels, event tickets, packaging, branded merchandise, traceable components, and more.

“These new fluorescent inks give our customers the tools to create immersive, bold visuals that truly pop,” said Lon Riley, founder and CEO of DPI Laboratory. “Whether you’re printing hidden codes, creating unique promotional giveaways for a brand launch, or adding authentication to high-value items, fluorescent UV lets you print the impossible.”

Use cases for the ink span counterfeit prevention, authentication on IDs and collectibles, supply chain security, fan engagement in sports and entertainment, and interactive exhibit features.

The ink is compatible with both direct-to-object and UV DTF workflows and integrates with DPI’s RIP software and workflow automation suite. It can be used to add covert or high-contrast visual layers to short- or long-run jobs, and is available as part of DPI’s bulk ink delivery system, which includes automated stirring to reduce maintenance.
