Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has expanded its digital UV inkjet line-up with the launch of the AccurioJet 30000. The B2+ format press offers improved colour fidelity, media handling, and production stability.
Building on the success of the AccurioJet KM-1e series which has been installed at over 350 sites around the world, the new model introduces several upgraded features. These include a new HM201 printhead with enhanced substrate wiring and temperature control, higher definition printing with finer granularity, and automatic duplexing at speeds of up to 3000 sheets per hour.
The new model uses Konica Minolta’s proprietary Dot Freeze technology and edge processing to achieve sharp text and a wide colour gamut at 1200 x 1200dpi resolution. Its extended media capabilities allow for printing on substrates from 0.06 to 0.6mm thick, including textured stocks, canvas, metallics, translucent media, packaging board, and plastics.
According to the company, these features enable a wide range of applications, from photo albums and packaging to outdoor signage and direct mail. Additionally, automated inline image correction, upgraded RIP performance, and inter-colour mist catchers are designed to improve uptime and reduce maintenance.
Jon Hiscock, head of production and industrial print at Konica Minolta, said: “We are excited to unveil the AccurioJet 30000 as the latest edition to our AccurioJet range, which offers the same paper processing stability as an offset printer but with the considerable flexibility benefits of a digital press in terms of functionality, automation, variable data printing and workflow management.”
The press is operator-serviceable and supports remote servicing, while a new inkjet manager system enables integration with offset workflows and compatibility with third-party finishing devices.
