Fedrigoni has announced a multi-year partnership with Palantir Technologies aimed at accelerating its digital transformation using artificial intelligence. The Italian manufacturer of specialty papers, self-adhesive labels, and RFID solutions will integrate Palantir’s AI-driven platforms into its operations, initially focusing on stock optimisation and demand forecasting.

Palantir, a US-based software company known for data analytics and AI tools, will work with Fedrigoni to enhance its global supply chain efficiency and improve responsiveness to market trends. The collaboration is being supported in Italy by Avatar Investments, Palantir’s preferred partner in the region.

Fedrigoni CEO Marco Nespolo described the initiative as a key part of the company’s strategy to remain competitive in a fast-moving market. “Our collaboration with Palantir will enable us to harness the power of AI to be increasingly agile and competitive in a rapidly evolving market,” he said. “This partnership is a critical component of our strategy to lead the industry in operational excellence and customer service.”

Gionata Berna, CIO of Fedrigoni, added that the partnership marks a major step forward for the company’s data strategy. “The ability to accurately forecast demand and optimise stock levels is just the beginning. We are committed to building a data-driven organisation that can swiftly adapt to changes and capitalise on new opportunities,” he said.

François Bohuon, Palantir’s managing director for France and executive for EMEA, said the partnership demonstrated the transformative role of AI in manufacturing. “We are excited to collaborate with Fedrigoni on their digital transformation journey. Our technology will empower them to unlock new efficiencies and drive growth.”

Guillaume Soule, EMEA manufacturing AI lead at Palantir, added: “Fedrigoni’s forward-thinking approach to digital transformation aligns perfectly with our mission to empower organisations through data-driven insights.”
