Provider of cross-media communication services in Italy, Leaderform, is enhancing its production capabilities by installing two new high-speed inkjet presses from Screen. The company will soon integrate the Truepress Jet 520NX AD and the Truepress Jet 520HD+ into its Verona-based operations, replacing earlier Screen models installed over a decade ago.

Founded over 40 years ago, Leaderform offers services ranging from transactional printing and direct mail to packaging and display solutions. The business first adopted Screen’s inkjet technology in 2011 and has used it to streamline workflows, boost automation, and improve print quality.

The new Truepress Jet 520NX AD will focus on transactional printing, offering speeds up to 225m/min and adjustable print settings to balance quality and cost. Meanwhile, the Truepress Jet 520HD+ is intended for high-quality direct mail and can print in 1200dpi resolution on standard offset-coated papers without the need for primers, meeting industry colour standards.

Roberto Marani, Leaderform’s pre-press and printing quality manager, said the decision followed extensive testing. “We were impressed by the consistent print quality, especially on standard coated paper, and the productivity gains offered by the new systems,” he noted.

Giuseppe Di Martino, the company’s operations manager, described the move as a strategic upgrade aimed at improving flexibility and responsiveness. “We evaluated all technical and operational aspects thoroughly,” he said. “These new presses will help us meet growing customer expectations for personalisation and rapid delivery.”

Leaderform’s investment aligns with broader industry trends toward personalised communication and multi-channel marketing, as well as rising sustainability expectations. By integrating advanced digital inkjet presses, the company aims to maintain its position as a leader in Italy’s competitive commercial printing market.
