Peterborough-based exhibition stand specialist GH Display has invested in a Mimaki TS3300-3200DS grand-format printer, supplied by Soyang Hardware, as part of a move to bring dye sublimation printing in-house.

Established in 1976, GH Display designs and manufactures custom exhibition stands and operates from a two-acre site featuring over 30,000sqft of workshop, print, and storage space. The company serves a range of clients with varied print and design needs.

Previously, GH Display outsourced its dye-sublimation printing but has opted to internalise the process to improve control over quality and lead times. The new Mimaki printer, capable of printing at speeds up to 150sqm/hr and on media up to 3.2 metres wide, supports a range of applications including soft signage, flags, backlit displays, and home décor.

Director of GH Display Jenny Hodson said the move is expected to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. “Bringing dye sublimation in-house will allow us to control quality and lead times much better, offer more competitive pricing, and deliver quicker lead times for customers,” she said.

GH Display previously worked with Soyang Hardware on other equipment purchases and chose the company again for its service and support. The Mimaki TS3300-3200DS, delivered in April, is the first of its kind installed in the UK.

The company plans to integrate the printer into its production workflows to expand its service capabilities.
