Epson has announced two new additions to its professional photo printer range: the SureColor P7300 (24-inch) and P9300 (44-inch) models. Designed for the retail photography, proofing, graphic, signage, and fine art markets, the new printers join the existing 17-inch SC-P5300 to complete Epson’s 10-colour UltraChrome photo printer line-up.

The new printers succeed the previous P6000 and P8000 models, offering faster print speeds and featuring Epson’s 2.64in PrecisionCore printhead for high image quality. Both models use the UltraChrome PRO10 ink set, which includes violet ink. Epson’s Black Enhance Overcoat technology has also been incorporated to produce richer blacks and improved contrast.

Marc Boehmer, product manager at Epson Europe, said: “We are delighted to introduce the SC-P9300 and SC-P7300 to the market as they offer unparalleled quality, productivity and efficiency for a range of professionals in retail photography and fine art. With the addition of the two new P-Series printers, we now provide a complete range of professional 10-colour photo printers, including violet, empowering users to produce stunning images and proofs that meet the highest standards.”

Both models feature a 4.3in optical touchscreen, dustproof structure, spindle-less roll adaptor, and front operation mechanisms for easier maintenance. Epson’s Media Installer and Cloud Solution PORT software are supported, providing enhanced usability and remote monitoring capabilities.

The printers achieve a resolution of up to 2400 x 1200dpi and include dedicated Photo Black/Matte Black nozzles. They also offer flexible media handling, accommodating glossy, bond, matte papers, and rigid boards up to 1.5mm thick, with high-speed USB and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

The SureColor P7300 and P9300 will be available from August, and will be showcased on Epson’s stand at Fespa in Berlin.
