Durst Group has announced that its Durst Workflow software is now integrated with Amazon’s Transparency program. The company claims it is the first pre-press workflow solution capable of directly generating and embedding Transparency codes into print production processes.

The Transparency program is Amazon’s product serialisation initiative, aimed at combating counterfeiting by enabling individual item tracking and authentication. With the new integration, Durst Workflow users can download Transparency codes, automatically place them into artwork files, and move straight into production without manual intervention.

The development is designed to offer greater protection for brands while improving consumer trust and streamlining pre-press operations.

“Our mission is to consistently provide our customers with the best technological solutions,” said Serge Clauss, product manager software and solutions at Durst Group. “Integrating Amazon Transparency into Durst Workflow enables brands and print service providers to elevate counterfeit protection to a new level and unlock new business opportunities.”

Durst said the addition highlights its commitment to improving efficiency, security and quality in the digital print sector. The integration will be available to all Durst Workflow customers working with brands that are enrolled in the Amazon Transparency program.
