York based printer Inc Dot will take delivery of a Heidelberg Linoprint C 751 digital press this month. This is Heidelberg’s name for the Ricoh Pro C751 it supplies with provision for links to its Prinect network and front ends.
‘We looked at our options and the Linoprint C 751 was more cost-effective and, on a blind test comparing prints from two different machines, the staff voted the work from the C 751 the better quality,’ said managing director Pascha Turnbull.
Ms Turnbull’s father John started his print business in 1979, and she followed by setting up her own company in 2001. She has built up a design and print company which produces everything from ‘a business card for the local plumber through to a 900 page full colour manual for the Environment Agency’. Much of Inc Dot’s work is from the home town of York, with Ms Turnbull saying there is plenty of work if you offer the right service levels.
‘We like the fact the new press is from Heidelberg, which is a quality name and a trustworthy brand,’ she said. ‘We already have their litho presses so if they recommend this digital device we are happy to go with it.’
The new press has been specified with large capacity feeders and an online stapling finisher. Inc Dot primarily finishes offline as it already has an extensive bank of equipment and is adding some further Morgana kit shortly.
‘Customers will be benefit from an even faster and better service when this press is installed’ says Ms Turnbull
