Veritek’s managing director, Jim Edgar, scooped the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Insider Dealmakers Awards on 6 February.
The company entered the print sector as a leading installation, maintenance and service support provider two years ago and has grown its OEM client base in the arena with great success.
Mr Edgar has led Veritek since 2007 and has increased the turnover of the technical service and support company, to £25 million per annum. Together with Jonathan Briant, finance director, he completed a successful MBO last year and in 2012 the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
Mr Edgar said, ‘It is always a great honour to receive an award, and even more of a thrill to be awarded for doing something that I am truly passionate about. Veritek has a wonderful team of people throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, and it is testament to the staff’s commitment to delivering outstanding service that we are recognised in this way.’
Jim has also been nominated for Director of the Year Award with the Institute of Directors London and the South East.
