Hickling & Squires and Sherwood Universal have each installed a third Titanium 2516 digital cutter from International Graphic Supplies (IGS), following more than six years working with the supplier.

The two Nottingham-based print and packaging businesses use Titanium cutting tables across wide-format signage and packaging production. According to IGS, the latest installations are intended to support increasing production volumes and faster turnaround times.

Peter Flynn, managing director at IGS, said: “When two major print and packaging specialists in the same region invest in their third machine, it speaks volumes about the Titanium technology and its reliability. Both Hickling & Squires and Sherwood Universal have been valued partners of ours for over six years. Seeing their businesses thrive and watching the Titanium range play a central role in their expansion is very rewarding.”

The Titanium 2516 is used to process substrates including corrugated board, acrylics and display materials. Hickling & Squires has increased its use of the equipment as its custom packaging and wide-format signage volumes have grown.

“Our Titanium cutters have been absolute workhorses for our daily operations,” said Jamie Gilbert, production director at Hickling & Squires. “As our volume in custom packaging and wide-format signage has grown, bringing in a third Titanium cutter was the natural next step. The reliability and precision give us the confidence to take on larger, more intricate jobs without worrying about bottlenecks.”

Sherwood Universal has also worked with IGS for more than six years, using both its Platinum UV Printer and Titanium cutters.

David O’Neil, managing director at Sherwood Universal, said: “In our market, downtime isn’t an option and finish quality is everything. Having relied on IGS for the Platinum UV Printer and Titanium cutters for over six years, sticking with a platform that consistently delivers high ROI and rock-solid reliability made total business sense.”

Both new Titanium 2516 cutters are now operational. IGS said it also has further Titanium installations scheduled across the signage, label and medical packaging sectors.
