Sharp Europe has appointed Paul Yokoyama as its new president, with responsibility for driving growth across the company’s European business operations.
Based at Sharp Europe’s London headquarters, Mr Yokoyama will oversee the development of the company’s established Document Solutions division, the expansion of its unified IT Services business, and the continued integration of its display portfolio.
Sharp Europe provides a range of business technology products and services across Europe, including printers, display technologies, collaboration platforms and IT services. The company serves both private and public sector organisations and forms part of Sharp Corporation, which employs more than 39,000 people worldwide.
Mr Yokoyama succeeds Joe Tomota, who will now take on the role of global head of Sharp’s Smart Business Solutions business.
The appointment follows more than 20 years of experience with Sharp across a range of international leadership roles. During his career, Mr Yokoyama has worked in Europe and Japan, where he held responsibility for business strategy and growth across the Middle East, Africa, Oceania and Asia. Previous roles have also focused on business planning, operational efficiency and profitability.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Yokoyama said: “This is an exciting time for Sharp as we continue to build an ecosystem that brings together a range of capabilities across products and services to help our customers navigate technological change. We are committed to connecting people and technology, delivering tailored solutions, best-in-class customer service and security for all customers.
“My priority is to build on our strong foundation to drive sustainable and profitable growth across our European B2B business. I am confident we have a strong team capable of supporting and continuing our business transformation across Europe. Through collaboration, innovation, and building our capabilities together, we can deliver even greater value to our customers.”
Sharp Europe said Mr Yokoyama will focus on supporting the company’s continued business transformation and growth across the region as it develops its portfolio of workplace technology, display and IT services solutions.
