Kodak has released version 11.5 of its web-based Prinergy Insite Portals, introducing a series of updates aimed at improving productivity, workflow efficiency, and security for print businesses and their customers.
The latest version includes enhancements to both the Kodak Prinergy Iniste Prepress Portal (IPP) and the Kodak Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow (ICW).
Prinergy Insite Prepress Portal acts as a web gateway to the prepress environment, allowing customers to upload files into Prinergy Workflow, monitor progress, collaborate on changes, and proof and approve jobs. Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow, meanwhile, provides a task-based collaboration space for printers, brands, and designers, designed to support design creation, asset management, and approval processes.
Among the main additions in version 11.5 are new actions for Prinergy’s Rules-Based Automation (RBA), which Kodak says will help streamline review and approval stages and speed up decision-making. The release also includes tools intended to support faster job management and higher productivity, along with email address synchronisation across systems to reduce the risk of inconsistencies.
Kodak has also updated libraries and added support for the latest macOS, with the aim of making Kodak Matchprint virtual soft proofing more responsive and stable. Alongside this, strengthened IIS (Internet Information Services) configurations are intended to improve both security and performance for Insite Portals users.
Jim Barnes, chief IT implementation officer at Kodak, said: “The introduction of Prinergy Insite Portals version 11.5 exemplifies Kodak’s commitment to continuous innovation of our prepress and print software ecosystem, helping printers to effectively adapt to evolving customer requirements.
“With this upgrade, Prinergy Insite Portal users benefit from data security improvements, performance increases, and service and support benefits. As a result, they can offer their clients a safer and more convenient online collaboration experience and produce jobs more efficiently and profitably.”
The update is positioned as a further development of Kodak’s wider prepress and print software offering, with a focus on supporting collaboration between print service providers and their customers while strengthening the underlying security and performance of the platform.
