Epson has announced plans to release a new printhead, the T3200-U3-2, as part of its PrecisionCore series in early April 2026. The launch is aimed at addressing growing demand and evolving requirements in the commercial and industrial digital printing markets.

The T3200-U3-2 introduces a redesigned internal structure that allows ink to be heated to temperatures of up to 50°C, higher than the limit of its predecessor, the T3200-U3. According to the company, this capability supports more stable ink ejection and improves reliability and durability when used with a wider range of UV inks. The expanded viscosity compatibility is expected to broaden the range of potential commercial and industrial printing applications.

Demand for digital printing has increased across commercial and industrial sectors in recent years, contributing to more diverse customer requirements and use cases. Since its release in July 2021, the earlier T3200-U3 model has been widely adopted, particularly in signage printers.

The new printhead retains the external dimensions, electronic interface, and ejection performance of the earlier model, allowing it to be integrated into existing printer systems with minimal modification or used as a direct replacement.

Other specifications are that the printhead is compatible with UV inks; has dimensions (width x depth x height) of 113.4 x 52.0 x 30.4mm; has head resolutions of 300dpi  with four colours and 600dpi with 2 colours; and has a total of 3200 nozzles.

Epson said it plans to continue expanding its PrecisionCore printhead lineup as part of its efforts to support ongoing development and adoption of digital printing technologies in commercial and industrial environments.
