Mutoh has announced the launch of the XpertJet 1641SR Pro II, a 64-inch eco-solvent wide-format printer. The system is positioned for professional sign, display, and graphics production environments.
The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II combines Mutoh’s AccuFine HD Pro print head with the i-Screen EX print control system, delivering image quality improvements alongside a quoted productivity of up to 17.6 sqm/hr. According to the supplier, the configuration is designed to offer high colour accuracy, smooth tonal gradations and consistent output across a range of production speeds.
At the core of the system, the AccuFine HD Pro print head features eight nozzle rows with intelligent nozzle pairing, intended to improve ink placement accuracy for each colour channel. Working in tandem with i-Screen EX technology, this is aimed at maintaining colour uniformity and stable production performance, even during longer print runs.
The printer uses Mutoh MS51 eco-solvent inks, which extend the achievable colour gamut, particularly in darker tones. The ink set is designed to deliver deeper blacks and more vibrant reds, supporting applications such as vehicle wraps, retail graphics and exhibition displays. MS51 inks are UL Greenguard Gold certified, gBL-free, and have been evaluated against international VOC standards. This makes them suitable for print providers working in low-emission environments or on projects targeting BREEAM or LEED credits.
Operational features include DropMaster 2 and FeedMaster technologies, which automatically adjust bi-directional alignment and media feed accuracy. Additional tools such as Media Tracker and Nozzle Area Select are intended to reduce setup times, improve reliability and minimise downtime during production.
