CFH has invested in print and mail automation technology from BlueCrest as part of a programme to expand capacity, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen operational resilience across its production environment.

The latest upgrade includes the installation of an additional fully configured BlueCrest Epic Inserting System with Print+ Messenger (PPM), alongside Olympus and Vantage letter sorter solutions. CFH says the new equipment will increase speed, precision, and reliability across its mail fulfilment operations, supporting continued demand for secure, high-volume and time-critical communications.

According to CFH, the investment adds further automation and control to its production processes, helping to deliver faster turnaround times, improved data integrity, and consistent output across transactional and hybrid mail channels. The new systems also provide additional contingency, supporting service continuity during peak periods.

The move represents the latest phase in CFH’s wider growth and digital transformation strategy, which has seen ongoing investment in automation and technology infrastructure. It also builds on a partnership with BlueCrest that spans more than 20 years.

CFH was the first organisation outside the US to implement BlueCrest’s Print+ Messenger and Print+ Response platforms on BlueCrest MPS and Rival inserting systems. Since then, the company has continued to enhance its production capabilities through a series of targeted upgrades, including the installation of an additional colour PPM retrofitted to a BlueCrest MSE inserter in 2021, followed by the first Epic Inserting System with colour PPM in 2022.

CFH says these investments have delivered measurable improvements in automation, efficiency and uptime, while also enabling new personalisation options. In particular, the ability to use plain envelopes removes the need for plastic windows, making envelopes fully recyclable and reducing waste to landfill.

Steve Cray, group production director at CFH, said: “Our continued collaboration with BlueCrest allows us to maintain the highest standards of integrity, security, and operational efficiencies. These investments demonstrate our commitment to providing efficient, accurate, and innovative hybrid mail and transactional communication solutions that evolve with our clients’ needs.”

Gary Warby, sales manager at BlueCrest, added: “What stands out about our partnership with CFH is the strategic, incremental approach they take to technology adoption. From the Epic system to the implementation of the Print+ Messenger, each investment has been carefully planned to build on previous capabilities.”
