EyeC has appointed Beijing Transwest Automation as its exclusive distribution partner for the Chinese market, strengthening its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing packaging regions.
Under the agreement, Beijing Transwest Automation will represent EyeC’s portfolio of automated artwork inspection and print image inspection systems across China, providing local sales coverage alongside on-site service and technical support. The partnership is intended to give printers and packaging manufacturers more direct access to EyeC’s quality control technology, supported by a locally based team.
Beijing Transwest Automation is a long-established specialist in automation technology for the graphic arts sector, with more than 30 years’ experience distributing inspection systems and workflow solutions in China. Led by managing director James Zhou, the company has built a strong reputation in the printing and packaging market through its technical expertise and customer support capabilities.
The collaboration comes as demand continues to rise in China for automated quality control, particularly in packaging applications where regulatory compliance and brand protection are critical. Through Transwest’s established sales and service network, EyeC’s systems for 100% print image inspection and barcode verification will now be available to a wider base of Chinese customers.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr Zhou said: “The partnership with EyeC is a significant strategic move for Transwest. With our extensive market experience in East Asia, we can deliver outstanding technical support and service to EyeC customers. At the same time, EyeC’s innovative portfolio opens new business opportunities with printers, packaging manufacturers, and brand owners in high-growth sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics.”
Markus Fietkau, sales director at EyeC GmbH, highlighted the strategic importance of the region, adding: “China is one of the most important growth markets for high-quality packaging. By partnering with Beijing Transwest Automation, we have gained an experienced partner with deep technical expertise and excellent market knowledge, who shares our high standards and can position our systems effectively in this demanding market.”
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Hamburg, EyeC develops inspection systems covering the entire production process, from artwork files through to finished printed products. Its solutions are used globally by printers, pharmaceutical companies, and brand owners, with more than 3,000 systems installed worldwide.
The new partnership is expected to strengthen EyeC’s footprint in China while supporting local packaging producers in meeting increasingly stringent quality requirements.
