Pureprint Group has appointed Glenn Hylands as group operations director, a newly created role that supports the company’s expansion of its digital print capability as it enters its centennial year.

Mr Hylands joins from CPI, where he spent 20 years in digital manufacturing across multiple production sites. His background includes implementing new inkjet and bindery technologies and driving major workflow transformations, with a particular focus on print-on-demand for the publishing sector.

In his new position, Mr Hylands will oversee the integration of Pureprint’s growing network of digital sites and lead several group-wide operational projects. His appointment aligns with recent developments at the business, including the acquisition of Ashford Colour Press in late 2024 and ongoing investment in digital infrastructure at the Uckfield and Gosport locations.

CEO Mark Handford said: “We’re delighted to welcome Glenn to the Pureprint team. His depth of experience in inkjet manufacturing and the publishing sector is a fantastic addition, particularly following our acquisition of Ashford Colour last year. Glenn’s expertise complements our existing teams as we continue to build our expanding digital and on-demand offering across both our Uckfield HQ and Gosport sites. Bringing our manufacturing sites closer together is a key focus for the year ahead, and Glenn will play an important role in driving that.”

Mr Hylands added: “I’m delighted to be joining Pureprint. The business has an impressive reputation for quality and innovation, and the opportunity to contribute to its next stage of evolution is genuinely exciting.”

The role is one of several new group-level appointments at Pureprint. Earlier this year the company welcomed Helen Graham as head of group bids and Andy Lydiatt as director of strategic growth, reflecting its continued investment in strengthening leadership as it prepares for the next phase of growth.
